Best Soccer Podcasts

Soccer is the most popular sport in the world but which soccer podcast is the best choice for you?

There are so many soccer podcasts out on the market, how do you know which one to choose or best suits your needs?

Well, today you are in luck because I am here to help you and I am going to be covering all soccer leagues the majority of people reading this will be following.

Soccer Podcasts

Unfortunately, I don’t cover leagues like the Swiss league, Portugal, Mexico, Brazil, etc.

I will walk you through what each podcast brings to the soccer table whether that is perfect analysis or top humor, rest assured you will find a great soccer podcast by the end of this article that you are very happy with.

This list is not a set in stone order as they all offer something different and are all worth a listen if you are soccer-obsessed and have the time.

If not pick a couple and become soccer knowledgeable while also having a laugh.

ESPN has a daily soccer podcast and it is not one to be missed.

Because of ESPN’s pulling power they get some fantastic analysts who breakdown the top 5 European leagues.

If you are looking for a consistent daily soccer podcast to fill all your needs and make you the most knowledgeable guy in town then ESPN FC is really your only answer.

Nobody can produce constant and consistent daily podcasts like ESPN.

7. The Magic Sponge

I need to find more time in my life to listen to this soccer podcast.

Every time I have listened to it, it has been hilarious.

The Magic Sponge

Jimmy Bullard hosts it who is an ex-Premier League soccer player with 2 other comedians.

Jimmy Bullard was always known for being a character even when he was still playing the game. He is just a typical lads lad.

They usually have an ex-professional soccer player as a guest and there are normally some fantastic stories being told about football whether it is on the pitch or off it.

Not to be missed, especially if you like fun stories about what happens off the pitch.

6. Football Weekly

Football Weekly is a soccer podcast hosted by The Guardian newspaper in the UK.

Despite the name, it is a twice-weekly podcast.

The Football Weekly podcasts offer a top-notch analysis of what is happening on the pitch in the 5 main leagues in Europe.

If the top 5 soccer leagues are your main focus then you wouldn’t go wrong giving this podcast a listen.

I prefer On The Continent but when I get a chance I do have a listen and it is always full of fantastic guests and intelligent analysis.

This soccer podcast originally began all the way back in 2006 and with The Guardian behind it, I cannot see it going anywhere soon.

They have already replaced one presenter who left to start a rival show.

5. Men in Blazers

Men in Blazers is a fantastic soccer podcast for those not all the way in on soccer just yet or you are just getting started in soccer.

This is very easy to listen to and understand and is also pretty funny.

Men in Blazers

This podcast is doing a lot for soccer in America and for that I respect them.

If you aren’t from America I don’t think this will be the best podcast choice for you.

The show is over 10 years old now and is still going strong, if you fall into their target audience you must go and give this a listen.

4. The Spanish Football Podcast

Believe it or not, this podcast covers Spanish football and just La Liga and the cups.

It is co-hosted by Sid Lowe & Phil Kitromilides who are very respected soccer journalists

If La Liga is what you are into then without a doubt this soccer podcast is a must listen!

The Spanish Football Podcast

There is no filler in this, you get around half an hour podcast of straight-up analysis and they cover every weekend game that has been played in La Liga.

They also attend many of the games so you do get all the insight including the atmosphere.

Honestly, if you are looking for straight-up just Spanish soccer podcast this is the only one you will need to listen to.

3. On The Continent

On The Continent is from the same network as The Football Ramble and does have some crossover with the co-hosts.

What makes On The Continent different is because they discuss all the top European soccer leagues minus the English Premier League.

It’s like the Football Ramble but switched.

On The Continent Podcast

So if you are looking to learn about leagues like Ligue 1 or the Bundesliga this is the perfect podcast for you.

And they do not just discuss PSG, Barcelona, Dortmund, Juventus, etc they will discuss all sections of the league and I always come out of listening to this podcast with a new player from a club like Lille or Sassuolo I need to keep an eye on.

There is nothing better in the soccer podcasting world if European football is your thing or if you are looking to learn more about it.

2. The Football Ramble

The Football Ramble covers the English Premier League which is the most popular soccer league in the world.

The podcast consists of 4 guys who are a mix of soccer journalists and comedians, this makes the show very insightful and extremely funny at the same time.

Still going strong in 2020 after starting this soccer podcast all the way back in 2013. That should give you an insight into how popular this is.

The Football Ramble

This is a light-hearted podcast where it sounds like mates having a drink down the pub but they are also really full of soccer knowledge.

I really look forward to Mondays when the new podcast comes out…

Unless my team lost!

If you are looking for only one English Premier League soccer podcast you don’t need to read any further.

1. Sunday Vibes

The number 1 spot goes to Sunday Vibes, which I consider one of the easiest to listen to and is just packed full of knowledge.

Sunday Vibes is the podcast from the boys over at Football Daily on YouTube.

If you haven’t heard of them go and subscribe because they are great, giving out loads of daily football content.

The podcast is a laid back in-depth chat about soccer, covering the top 5 European leagues and competitions.

They even record it in a pub, that is how laid back it is.

This podcast will make you laugh and also give you great soccer knowledge.

Sunday Vibes Soccer Podcast

This is one of the few soccer podcasts that go into statistics such as expected goals and dribbling stats, but it’s not boring in the slightest.

What is different about this podcast is they don’t discuss the weekend’s games in detail like nearly every other podcast they save that for their YouTube channel, on the podcast they take a different approach.

The most recent podcast of theirs was “How to fix Atletico Madrid & West Ham” and they go into super detail how they would improve those clubs if they was the director of football.

It’s really interesting.

So there you have it, for me, they are by far the best soccer podcasts you can be listening to in 2020.

The power is now in your hands to become the knowledgeable one of your group.
